Chapter Twelve.-2

Fitz pondered on what had his wolf reacting so badly, and why he was so enraged. Maybe he needed to go for a run, hunt some of the hogs which had made their way onto his lands, before the scarce animals headed back south for the winter months. After all, the kitchen would be grateful for the extra meat after his decision that morning at breakfast. However, Baldr was so volatile and seemed to be obsessed with the girl, he did not dare let him out at that time. A knock at the door disturbed his thoughts. Usually, his close omegas, or Carson, would walk straight in after the courtesy knock. It was a testament to how unpredictable his wolf was becoming that whoever was at the door was waiting nervously outside. “Come in,” Fitz shouted, his voice sounding more agitated than he would like.
