I was surprised by who was at the door, to be honest. My mind was reeling, and I was glad Lexi couldn’t see my face with my back turned to her. I was so close to kissing her, to giving in to everything I’ve been wanting to do since the first moment I saw her, to be honest. She was everything to me, she always has been. I didn’t lie to her. I prayed every day to find the one that was meant for me, and I struggled with the fact that she belonged to Zain. Surely the one meant for me wasn’t with someone else?
