Two days later, as they sat in Chloe’s car following Martin’s funeral, Chloe handed her phone to Danielle. There was a news article up, from a link Agent Greene had sent her.
“Looks like it’s official now,” Chloe said.
Danielle took the phone and read over the article Chloe had just read. Chloe read it for a second time as well, just to experience it again. The headline read Ex-girlfriend Cleared in Murder Case as Larger Conspiracy is Revealed.
The article told most of the story that had been uncovered by Chloe and confessed by Ruthanne Carwile.
