Chapter 3 : The Misfortunes of the Antagonists

Daniel Marcelino, the fourth prince destined to die as the scapegoat of the church. If following the plot of the novel shortly after Liliana died, the church advised the king to exile the prince for a whole year in the holy cathedral without being allowed to access the outside world at all. In order to get rid of the bad luck of the prince who always left his fiancés dead.

From then on, the prince became a puppet of the church and could not be far from the bishop. Although his mind was still in his control, his body was not. This is what resulted in Daniel being dubbed the puppet prince by readers including myself.

In fact as the novel approaches the end, the author explains that it is not only the fourth prince who is controlled by the archbishop with the Red Sapphire Necklace Artifact, but all the novel's antagonists other than the crown prince. In other words, all the actions of the antagonists, are not entirely their wishes. It is the Archbishop of the Church who should receive the hanging!

"What are you doing here Lola?"

"Quickly put my clothes back in their place!"

"Didn't I tell you I didn't want to leave the house?" I asked while looking annoyed at Lola who was constantly doubting my decision. Until finally I also had to clean up the clothes he had packed into the bag.

After finishing tidying up, I asked Lola to prepare a carriage. Of course Lola, who had asked to leave the house, immediately left without asking where she was going. If she finds out that I want to prepare an engagement dress, what do you think her response will be?

"What if the royal family hears!" Lola sounded panicked until I forced my mouth shut which continued to vilify the King's policies.

After I looked calm, Lola immediately removed her palm.

"Geezz, you're too stiff Lola!"

"There's no one else in our house!" I immediately walked out ahead of everyone to the carriage that had been waiting for us for a long time.

Lola and one of my bodyguards went to follow. If Lola got into the carriage, the knight sat beside the coachman to escort us off.

"Huft, why don't we just run away anyway?"

"The fourth prince is famous for being cruel to those around him, he also has a curse that will kill every woman who is bound to him," complained Lola while occasionally looking at me.

Lola's words may be quite worrying, but they are nothing more than rumors spread by the third prince!

While the main mastermind behind the actions of the third prince is the Archbishop who secretly controls his actions by using the relic of the Red Sapphire Necklace!

The church's actions to gain control over the fourth prince really irritated me!

All they do is just because they are afraid of God's revelation which says that the queen will give birth to a prince who can change the kingdom. Which if in the hands of the kingdom the church might lose its influence. And the church's plan to wage a holy war, will never be realized.

'You Damn Bishop, why doesn't anyone dare to oppose his bad decision anyway!'

'Don't tell me that all the clergy and higher-ups have that damn artifact on it too!' I thought as I clenched my fists tightly.

Although it is not explained in detail, in the novel it is told that there are people who know the location of the Red Sapphire Necklace antidote Artifact around the County area. And that person was a fashion designer chosen by the Saintess on the eve of her engagement to the crown prince. That person gave away the location of the artifact for free just because the Saintess helped him out of the clothing business that was on the verge of bankruptcy. And I will use this information to seize the Saintess artifact that managed to make the Archbishop give up controlling the crown prince.

"Just watch, I'll mess up the plot of this novel. Mweheheheheh!" I muttered while grinning evilly without noticing Lola's whereabouts.
