“Get married? With her? Have you lost your mind?” Morgan snapped. Both his eyebrows tightened stiffly, and he really disagrees with the idea.
He already had enough with the action of a small reporter like Erina who dared to threaten him. Now, what was Benny doing? Offer him to marry her? Morgan would never do that.
“But, that is the only way we can figure out this situation, Sir.” Benny convinced him. “Your position is complicated, Sir. The whole country knows exactly what you have done. If you marry her, you can get an excuse and say that Erina tried to run away from the wedding and you just try to take her back. Therefore, Erina will take down the news by herself and all of this situation will be going back to normal.” Benny explained.
Morgan clinched his mouth in a serious face. Benny’s idea is quite reasonable. Besides, that’s a simple action that would resolve all of his problems.
“And don’t forget we still have a project to manage with Golden Company. All this scandal and Erina’s things can lead them to cancel our commitment and make your effort on these become nonsense, Sir.” Benny added.
Morgan clenched his jaw. He didn't expect a poor girl like Erina can threaten many factors in his life. Fortunately, he is not a person who manages love live as an important thing.
“Fine, I'll do it,” Morgan said with ambition.
***
“There's no way I would do that,” Erina answered immediately after she heard Morgan's instructions ask her to marry him. She shakes her head a couple times. “I will never do that.” She rejected it.
His eyebrows drop in a firm line. He seems displeased with Erina's answer.
“What did you just say?” He asked as if he couldn't hear it.
Erina sit still. Her body is getting limp after being hostage for hours. Without any food or water. His lips start to look dry and wrinkle.
“One minute ago, you intimidated me and said that you were gonna kill me. Now, you ask me to marry you. I'm sorry, Sir, but I can't.” She answered.
With all of her consciousness, Erina knows that it's a tough and dare to die answer. However, she hardly didn't want to marry a rude man like Morgan, whatever the reason, there's no way she would do that.
Morgan looks furious to hear the answer. But, besides letting out his anger, he just smirks.
“So, you underestimate me,” He murmured, “This is not an offer, but a command!” He rushed angrily.
How can a woman like her have thought that men like Morgan would have an interest in her? Erina was supposed to thank him for his generosity.
“Even if you hold me for many years, I will not marry to you,” Erina rushed. Her eyes began to turn red with emotion. “It's much better to shoot me with that gun rather than me marrying a man like you
“Are you serious with your words?” Morgan asked irritatedly. Without thinking further, he took out the gun in his hand. “There's still a bullet left inside. If you want to, I will use it to make a hole in your body,” He said seriously.
“Yes, just do it!” Erina answered.
Without waiting any longer, Morgan started to move his leg to rush over to her. Until right when he stood in front of Erina's chair, the man started to bend down, matched his position with Erina and started pointing his gun at the woman.
“Where should I do that?” Morgan asked, then pointed his gun to Erina's stomach. She held her breath in a second.
“If in your stomach, you'll feel insane pain and die slowly from bleeding.” Morgan explained. A thin smirk showed up on his face. Make him look more attractive and more violent at the same time.
Erina didn't answer. She tried to hold back her teeth which began to tremble. Meanwhile Morgan moved his gun again.
“If you choose the heart, you'll feel a hot needle get inside your chest and a stabbing sensation as well as incredible pain. The good news is, you will be dead in seconds.” He explained again as if he had tried that so many times.
Erina still can't let out even a word. She kept cursing the cruel man in front of her. On the other hand, she is more convinced to not marry a husband who dares to point his gun at a woman.
“If you want to do it in your head, this bullet will crack your skill. The pain is incredibly insane, but you will die immediately.” Morgan keeps murmuring. “So, which part do you want?” He asked.
Erina swallows her saliva hardly to relieve her throat.
Her eyes getting red for hold back her anger and fear. She turned to Morgan and answered. “J–just in my head. At least, it will erase my memories about you and let me die in peace,” She said. If this is really the last second of her life, Erina wouldn't hesitate to tell the truth about that man.
Morgan raises an eyebrow to Erina pleasedly. “Okay, get ready,” He said.
He begins to point his gun to the side of her head and Erina closes her eyes right when the top of the gun sticks on her head.
Her heart beats in a rush when she hears Morgan pull the trigger. She lost all her hope to the point she thinks she could die right now. Erina clutched her clothes tightly and counted silently
One, two,
DOR!
PRANG!
Gunshots burst out inside the room, followed by the sound of breaking glass.
Instead of feeling her head explode or incredible pain, Erina feels her body become limp and weak on the chair. She opened her eyes and only found darkness around her. Instead of shooting her, Morgan turned out shoot one of the lights in the room.
In a blurry light, Erina can see the man's face. Calmly getting the gun into his pocket. He looks exactly like a handsome dangerous devil.
“I would never let you die easily and peacefully.” He announced in a deep voice. “You will marry me. No matter what, you will be my wife, Erina. Now, just sit still in this room and don't make any other mess!”
After declaring the statement, Morgan went off instantly and Erina tried to stand up to chase him.
“Wait–akh!” She whimpered as the bonds around her more and more tied her body.
Morgan clearly heard Erina's voice, but he kept walking straight outside the room, didn't care about Erina even a little, leaving Erina powerless.
Outside the room, Benny and one of his men have waited for Morgan. They both looked worried after hearing gunshots from the room a second ago.
“Did you just shoot her?” Benny asked anxiously. He had been working with Morgan for years and knew exactly how his temper when something made him upset.
But, fortunately, Morgan shakes his head. “That was just a warning shot.” He explained with a straight voice, then nodded his head to the door's room as a signal to them. ”Untie the rope and give her a new clothes. Bring her food too, and a lamp.” He demanded.
“A lamp?” One of his men asked. Looks misdirected with his boss' request.
Morgen nodded his head one time. “I've just shot a lamp.”
Benny let out a long sigh. Very relieved to hear that. He was almost going crazy thinking about how he should heal Erina. Glad Morgan made a wise choice.
“Does that mean you are really going to marry her? When?” He asked curiously.
“Tomorrow,” Morgan answered in a certain voice.
