Gabe spent the shift actually looking for Cinda’s police file, and couldn’t find it anywhere. That was a full curiosity, there should have been one, considering he knew that the Senior Sergeant had handled her case himself. It should have been right there in the files, but he couldn’t find it anywhere. Couldn’t even find a Jane Doe case in the year that he had found her. Wondered if it had been misplaced, or even moved?
Grey had stared at him when he’d asked about her case file, “I don’t know, why are you looking into it now? It’s been a long time.”
“My gut has always told me something bad was going to happen around her, and now with her husband’s death, the break in at her apartment, the apartment burning down, and the break in here at her new house, something is going on, Grey.”
