Amara and I arrive at the restaurant, and we immediately spot Athena and her sister sitting at a table to the far right. Amara asks if I’m ready, and I tell her I am. We head to them, and I take a deep breath as we approach, trying to hide my nerves. She and her sister get to their feet, and she introduces herself and her sister to me since I’m the only one who hasn’t officially met them. I didn’t know she had a sister, so I asked Amara this morning, and she told me she’s adopted and a human, which I found strange considering what I’ve heard of King Adonis from Amara.
“It’s nice to meet you. I’m Clio,” I reply, shaking Athena’s hand that she has extended.
