“Lanie, what did you see?” Svetlana asked.
“I can’t tell you. You know that,” Lanie replied. “Besides, you should know what I saw. You’re the one who told us we were going to have unwanted visitors,” Lanie spat.
“I don’t know who they are, though, child. I only know they want him,” Svetlana said as she pointed at Ryker.
“What?” Ryker asked for the hundredth time that day. Lanie and Svetlana were at a deadlock. Svetlana wanted Lanie to spill the beans, while Lanie aimed to keep her integrity regarding her powers; however, their stalemate was broken when Rain sighed heavily and closed her eyes.
