“It’s my decision to make Lane!” Jacqueline says and Lane asks why when she didn’t make the child alone and Jacqueline loses it, telling him to stop calling it a child.
“It’s just a fetus,” she says, before adding that it’s not like they are in a real marriage. “This is a sham and you know that!” she says, her voice also loud, and Lane says a sham he stayed in because of her.
“Whose fault is it that It’s not a real marriage? You know how much I tried to live up to your expectations and earn your love. How I became your puppet, your friends' joke—your lover’s joke,” he says and Jacqueline’s eyes widen at the revelation, causing Lane to step even closer to her, shaking.
