Kinley had no sooner gotten back when she ran right into a fuming Lily who'd obviously been looking for Sam and been told he was gone for the weekend. The woman was waiting for her out the front as she parked and Kinley sighed. This was going to be interesting, she thought wryly as she helped Sam out and her father went and grabbed the stuff from the boot.
"Sam" Kinley said quite sweetly, "how about you show my father where to put the stuff and your room. I'll be right up" she added as her father looked at her and then the woman who looked spitting mad. Part of him wanted to step in but Kinley was an adult and more than capable of standing up for herself.
"Sure" Sam said excitedly, almost racing inside and bowling Lily over as Kinley smirked, her father following behind the child a bit
