As I tried to lay down on top of my bed, I felt that something was wrong here. My family is better than what I expected, but there’s something off.
How did my father suddenly turn into a family man from a gambling-addicted alcoholic? How did my depressed mother turn into an ideal housewife? My violent brother acted all friendly and chummy. As for my little sister, she’s usually like that, but she seemed to smile more than usual and feel really happy.
But, aren’t things good like this? This way, life wasn’t so bad, and I could enjoy the teenage life that I longed for so much. No more part-time work, no more gloomy home atmosphere.
