##Chapter 24 Leave Wayne

I almost laughed out. Wayne didn't put the gun on Vincent because of me, but something Vincent said. Vincent irritated Wayne, and that was the reason. "Mrs. Fox, I guess you must misunderstand something. There's no difference Mr. Wayne treats me as he treats other women," I said with a faint smile. "No difference?" Mrs. Fox stood up and stepped toward me. She wore a red dress and still kept her charm. It wasn't hard to imagine how beautiful she was when she was young. "I don't care what you are thinking about. A woman like you can't be around my son, breaking their brotherhood," said Mrs. Fox in a scornful tone. Her words were full of disdain to me. The Fox family was indeed complicated. Apparently, Mrs. Fox and Wayne were on bad terms. However, she called Wayne her son as if nothing was wrong. If she did care about Wayne, Vincent daren't have called Wayne a bastard. "Mrs. Fox, I'm afraid I can't make the decision." "Leave Wayne as soon as you can. Why can't you make it?" Mrs. Fox's tone was still domineering. I thought it wouldn't go on like what happened in the movie. She gave me a fat cheque and asked me to leave Wayne. I started to think about how much she would offer to me. "Ms. Brown," seeing I didn't answer, Mrs. Fox added, "You must be aware that it's not gonna work between Wayne and you. Wayne and Doris are engaged. They are a perfect match. You are now embarrassing yourself. I advise you to leave Wayne as soon as possible." "Mrs. Fox, I presume you got me wrong. Mr. Wayne comes to me, you know. If I want to leave him, I need his word. Otherwise, I'll be in trouble." "You are a smart girl," Mrs. Fox's face gradually turned gloomy. I stared at her and said nothing. Things were kept in my mind. Mrs. Fox was the aunt of Leopard, the one who spoiled Leopard. She was the cause of Leopard bringing miseries to my family. "Mr. Wayne!" When we looked at each other, the door was pushed open. Then I heard the bodyguards greeting Wayne. I sighed in relief. Wayne finally came. "Why do you come here?" Mrs. Fox asked in an unfriendly tone. When I was about to turn around and look at him, I was held in Wayne's arms. He said, "Anthea, it's inappropriate of you. Your son insulted my girl, and now, you are blaming my girl. Does it sound reasonable?" Hearing what Wayne said, Mrs. Fox's face gradually turned gloomy. In the end, she wore a dark face and lost her graceful temperament. "Wayney, you know you are engaged. Hanging out with such a nasty woman is an insult to both of our families," Mrs. Fox said through gritted teeth. "Engaged?" Wayne sneered, "It seems that I have never admitted such an engagement. Oh, right. You have never asked me about it." "I don't care whether you admit it or not!" Mrs. Fox suddenly raised her voice, "You are a Fox, the head of Fox Group. Everything you do represents the Fox family. Hook up with a stripper. You are shaming the whole family!" I heard their quarrel and felt nervous. I had never expected to hear the secrets of the Fox family in Wayne's arms. "I won't let the Fox family lose a penny, nor Fox Group. It's my private life. You have no right to tamper with my life," Wayne said coldly. "You..." Mrs. Fox was too furious to say anything. "Also, if you think I'm incapable, ask your son to take my place. See if they will do better than me?" Wayne satirized. His words were way too sarcastic. It was well-known in Garol that two of three sons in the Fox family were good-for-nothing. The oldest son was timid and overcautious. The second one was greedy, prurient, and impulsive who had failed in more than one business. Wayne himself supported the whole Fox Group. What Wayne said was a humiliation for Mrs. Fox. Mrs. Fox suddenly turned sullen. She gritted her teeth and said, "Wayne, don't be smug! You wanna provoke the Green family, huh? Let's see how you gonna deal with it!" Wayne smiled, "Don't worry about me, Anthea. Worry about you baby boy. Seems I did frighten him yesterday." Finishing the words, Wayne held me in his arms and left there. I didn't feel relieved until I went into the car. "Are you that stupid? They told you to come, and then you come, huh?" Wayne sat down and scolded me. "Mr. Wayne, be rational!" I was unwilling to submit, "Do you know who brought me here? When I heard they are from the Fox family, I had no choice." I was fed up with those rich people. They thought my decision mattered when I was confronting them. "Don't you know you should contact me first?" Wayne growled. I lost my temper, "Mr. Wayne, I was already there. What's the point of contacting you? Besides, isn't it you who brought me into the dispute? Don't play nice." Wayne froze for a moment, and then he lowered his voice, "You knew that already?" "I knew it when I was lying on Vincent's bed. You are trying to provoke a dispute with Mrs. Fox. And I, unfortunately, become the trigger. Am I right?" I saw a dangerous flash in Wayne's eyes. He stared at me. And finally, he opened his mouth again when I got hairy, "You are not only the trigger. You'll play an important role later on." "For example?" I said in an ambiguous tone. "For example, some intercourse with me. What do you think?" Wayne bent down and approached me. Looking at his fabulous face, I had no idea what I could say.
