“Kalea, you need to stop freaking yourself out,” Harper said.
“THAT’S EASY FOR YOU TO SAY!” Kalea shouted back. Harper put his hands up in surrender immediately after.
“Sweetheart, breathe,” Renee told her.
“I can’t do this. Nope. Forget it. I’d rather not at this point. I can’t do it,” Kalea said in quick succession as she started to freak out again.
“Kalea, give me your hands,” Aimee calmly said. Kalea roughly put her hands in Aimee’s. “Now, follow my lead. Take a deep breath through your nose, and slowly exhale through your mouth. Ready?” Kalea nodded. She copied Aimee’s breathing patterns.
