Arielle's POV

My mate?

He is my mate? No way. He must be lying.

I saw the man pull the old man out of the room. And I don't know what they were talking about. But soon the young man came back into the room, meeting me.

"You said, I am your mate-"

"Don't mind that, I was just misspoke!" He interrupted quickly.

"What's your name? Where are you from? Tomorrow morning my driver will take you home. You'd better rest here tonight." He said in a cold voice.

I reached his hand, "I'm Arielle, I'm from the Red Mystic Pack, anyway... thanks." I said awkwardly.

"You better get ready tomorrow morning, my driver will bring you back to your territory." He nodded. Then turned around and left me alone in the room.

"Alpha's driver is waiting for you in front of the clinic." Someone in white uniform approached me.

"Doctor, thank you so much for your help. I promise I will come back here to pay for my medical expenses."

"No need, Alpha Denver has already paid for everything." she replied with a warm smile.

"Really?" I asked incredulously with wide eyes. She nodded, and escorted me to the front of her clinic, "come."

I couldn't believe what was waiting in front of me, a driver, dressed like a royal chauffeur, standing next to a luxury car that I had only seen on the old television in our pack house.

"Good morning Miss, I'll take you home." He greeted then opened the back door for me with a friendly look.

I immediately jumped in the back seat, excitedly.

I had no idea how fast the car was traveling, but suddenly we were at the end and I could see the Duvanour hill from here, which meant we had reached the Zemrith area. After about an hour, the car stopped right in front of the shabby pack house that I live in. The driver immediately got off and opened the door for me, this was a very special treatment that I had never received so far.

After saying thank you to the driver, I ran to the pack house quickly, I felt anxious because my mother surely will ask where I went.

"Mum..."

"Mum, I'm home..." I shouted. But there was no response.

Hurriedly, I opened the door to her room and there was nothing, strangely enough there was no one in the pack house too. Where they all went? At this early hour?

It still early in the morning, there was no way they were leaving for the palace this early, right? Unless there's something happened.

My thoughts were interrupted when I heard the sound of running footsteps getting closer. I rushed outside and realized that it was Beta soldiers coming to my place.

This was unusual, what was going on?

"Beta Henry, what happened?"

"Tie her up and drag her to the palace!" A soldier ordered while pointing his sword at me. I was grabbed tightly by my shoulders and put into one of the jeeps and taken to the royal palace.

"Let me go, what's going on here?"

"We're taking you to the place of execution!"

My heart was ripped right out of my stomach.

"Save your strength, you'll need it," Henry said coldly.

The soldiers and Beta Henry dragged me to the great hall used to execute criminals, traitors and captured Rogues.

I had just set foot there when I heard Luna Jacinta's loud voice.

"Are you still going to deny it Belinda?!"

"Mum!" I screamed in pain as I saw my mother forced to her knees with her hands tied behind her back.

"My daughter couldn't have done that, Luna..." My mum gasped.

"She's a good girl. She couldn't have done such an immoral thing..."

"Mum, what's going on?" I screamed and struggled to get the Beta's who were now holding me to let me go.

"Mum!" My mum didn't answer, she didn't even dare to turn her head towards me.

"Arielle, you've finally come...." Luna Jacinta smiled, her dark eyes looking at me with narrowed eyes, as if she was thinking about how she was going to kill me.

"Luna Jacinta, what's going on here?"

"Let her!" She ordered the Beta soldiers behind me and they obeyed.

"Come here!" She pulled out her index finger.

I took a few steps forward, approaching the throne Luna Jacinta sat on.

"Arielle..." Luna Jacinta crossed her arms over her chest.

"Is the money I gave you as your and your mother's wages not enough for your needs?"

I blinked a few times, still not understanding what was going on. And why Luna Jacinta was treating my mother like a traitor.

"More than enough, Luna..." I answered softly, but it was a lie.

The alphas paid me very little, just enough to eat once a day.

"Is that true?" Luna Jacinta sounded incredulous, I could tell she doubted my answer. Or perhaps she doubted the worthiness of the wages she gave her servants.

"Then why did you sell yourself to the rogues and other wild wolves? And humiliate this entire pack? Don't you realize what you've done, Arielle!"

I gasped in disbelief. Who told Luna Jacinta this lie?

"What do you mean, Luna Jacinta? I have never sold my body to anyone!" I replied firmly.

"You know very well what I mean, Arielle." She raised her voice angrily and I felt all the blood in my face draining out.

"I have plenty of evidence that you leave your pack house every night to meet up with people who hire your services as a prostitute. Do you have any rebuttal to that?"

"please, forgive my daughter... Luna."

" Mum you don't have to ask for forgiveness for something I didn't do!"

"Shut up!" My mum screeched at me.

"I'm not a prostitute, Mum."

"Oh, you're not?" Luna Jacinta smiled wickedly.

"Then tell me, Arielle... What exactly are you?" Her cold eyes looked wickedly at my mother.

"Henry bring all the evidence and witnesses here!"

"No!" my mum screamed.

"You can't prove it, Luna Jacinta!" I cried hysterically.

"There is no proof! You must be wrong!"

"Bring them here!" Luna Jacinta shouted at Henry and one of the beta warriors carrying some sort of box stepped forward. Those Betas pulled out a picture of me while Liam and I were having s*x. And strangely it wasn't Liam who was there but another man who I didn't even know.

"No this can't be!"

"Luna Jacinta, I beg you to allow me to meet prince alpha Liam."

"What business do you have with my son, lowly omega servant?"

"Call the witnesses here!" Luna Jacinta ordered her beta again. Not long after, the man in the photo entered the hall.

"What's your name?"

"Simon, Luna."

"Do you know this girl?" he asked the man while pointing at me.

"Yes, I know her..." Unexpectedly the man I didn't even know now claimed to recognize me.

"Luna Jacinta, I don't know him! He is lying!" I shouted raising my tone in denial, then got up from my knees before the Betas approached me and forced me back to my knees. They kept me tied and unable to move anymore.

"He's lying!"

"I have a proof!" that man shouted.

"Let me see the picture," Luna Jacinta ordered with wicked smile.

She finally finished looking at the photograph, "Well, Arielle....I will give you one chance to admit all your mistakes, and I will be kind enough to reduce your mother's punishment for not being able to educate you properly."

"I...." A lump formed in my throat and I was choking on my own spit.

"As we are a pack that upholds morality, and chastity. You know what the punishment is for whores like you, right?" Luna Jacinta smirked.

"You must choose between telling us the truth or keeping your lies, Arielle. Choose right now, or your mother will suffer....."

"I... I will confess everything."
