I turned around, I expected to see Kaden and Kieran , but my heart sank when I saw Jake instead. He sneered at me, his eyes gleamed with malice. I felt a surge of annoyance and disappointment, my mind raced with thoughts of why he always has to be so mean to me.
“Well, well, well. Look who we have here. The little weakling all alone.” Jake taunted, his voice dripped with sarcasm. He took a step closer, his eyes scanned me with disdain. I hated the way he looked at me, it always made me feel like plucking his eyes out.
I stood my ground, as I tried to muster up some courage.
“Leave me alone, Jake,” I warned, I tried to sound braver than I felt. My heart raced with anticipation, my senses on high alert, I awaited what he was going to do next with a straight face.
