Chapter 12Titus tried to keep the satisfied smirk from pulling at his lips when he inhaled and found that Jade’s heat had spiked high enough to where he was sure she would not deny him. Within minutes, they were handing the sleeping children over to the paramedics and he was leading Jade toward the Hummer he had parked around the side of the building.
Jade glanced back toward the front doors seeing another child being carried out and pulled against the hold she just realized Titus had on her upper arm.
“As Alpha, aren’t you supposed to be helping the wolf pack,” she asked, just as they rounded the corner out of sight. She didn’t really want to be alone with him right now… not when her knees felt so weak.
