CHAPTER FIFTEEN She decided when she stepped out into the street that she was done with catching cabs. She wasn’t sure Connelly would go so far as to have officers on the lookout for her car so she decided to take the risk. She hailed a cab and directed the driver to head to her apartment. As she made her way into the building, she pulled out her phone and placed a call that she did not want to make. But she had to try, at least. Connelly’s phone rang five times before voice mail picked it up. She decided not to leave a message, opting instead to call O’Malley.
