Alcyan Ford twenty years earlier.Jensen stopped the cart in front of the door. Daisuren came out onto the landing to watch them pass, bewildered at the sight of the strange crew accompanying her husband and daughter.
“Help me, woman," ordered Jensen, "we have guests.”
He jumped to the ground and went to the back of the vehicle. Daisuren joined him. When she discovered that the passenger was a Stoltzin, she froze.
“What’s it?" she asked.
“This young woman is hurt...”
“Accept that in my house, never!" she spat.
She turned around to go back into the house. Jensen held her back by the arm.
“These people helped us...”
“They helped you, not me, put them in the barn. No way, they will enter my house!”
With a nudge, she pulled away.
