CHAPTER THIRTY SIX Riley sat on her folding chair flanked by other students. They were all wearing their graduation robes. She was also still wearing a neck brace, which made her feel especially stiff and awkward. But she had made it through college, and at this point that seemed fairly miraculous. Even though she was glad to be here, Riley she couldn’t keep her mind on what the guest speaker was saying. He was a prominent and well-respected businessman, and it seemed a shame to miss out on his sage advice.
