Cara

The next morning, I woke up feeling relieved for some reason. When I got to my room last night, I had the unsettling feeling that someone was following me.

I made my way down to the kitchen and saw Mauve. “Good morning, child! We have a busy day ahead! What do you think we should make for the pack today?”

“I have an idea, but you might think it’s really weird,” I told Mauve.

“I thought adding Italian dressing to gravy was weird, but it turned out to be a tasty combination. So nothing you suggest will sound weird to me, child,” Mauve replied.

“Okay, I was thinking of a French toast lasagna,” I said.

“A what lasagna? How do we make that?” Mauve asked, intrigued.

“We layer bread with a cream cheese filling, maybe add some strawberries, then pour a batter over it all and bake it,”
