    “Amanchara,” Serafina rasped, touching Raith’s cheek with her hand. 

    The vampire king looked at the woman in his arms and stifled a cry. He dropped to his knees, laying her in his lap as his fingers weaved through her hair. “Mi Alma!” Raith could hardly contain the emotion that dripped out of his eyes. The way she looked at him, the way her smile set on her face. It was her. It really, finally was her!  And when he pressed his lips to hers, the kiss she returned was hers. 

    “Wow, I can feel this body now,” she smiled, fluttering her fingers. “I felt like I’ve been sleeping for so long.” Serafina smiled up at him and his heart was on fire. “I’ve missed you, Raith.”

    Raith chuckled, crying, “Me too, Mi Alma.”
