    Kicking off her covers, she jumped off the side of the bed. With the quick movement, a wave of vertigo forced Gabriella to grip the duvet and close her eyes. She bobbled for a moment before her world centered again. 

    What was that?

    She shook her head again before padding into the bathroom hoping that Raith was there. It was just as empty as their bed.  He must’ve gotten up when the sorporis wore off, but that could have been six hours ago. Her brow furrowed as she wondered why he didn’t wake her.

    Was he angry that she had begged him to bite her?

    Gabriella rolled her eyes at herself. No- Raith probably just is super busy and at work. 

    Her heart pained again, thinking he was that far away from her on the mainland in Seattle.  

    While she dressed, the cellphon
