Chapter sixA sea of gold encompassed me.

A hand up to shield my eyes made little difference. Spits and sparks of gold flew about in the air, the scent of roses grew stronger. I spoke with some heat.

Well, by the runny nose and dribbling eyeballs of Makki Grodno! Of course they’d be aware! After all, they were flaming super humans, weren’t they?

And, anyway, why were they using these flamboyant methods of summoning me instead of the good old Giant Scorpion and his blue radiance?

“The so-called ibmanzies, yes.” The Everoinye went on to tell me that they were in advance of that situation. When I’d kidn
