I wanted to patch things up with Lucas.

The more we let time run and have the argument get the hold of us, it’ll be much harder to fix things in the future. Lucas had always been someone who faced these problems head-on, so I wanted to do my best to get involved. After all, this is a relationship that should be equal on both sides. 

For us to work in a manner that we both wanted to, I needed to put in my own efforts. 

“You’re excited. I thought that I needed to pound your door sooner or later,” Zana commented from the second she saw me walking down the stairs. Even if she noticed that I was dressed up, I also realized that she was just as prepared as I was.
