Seeing the painting, understanding the forces that have conspired to bring Cecilia and I together at this very point in time helped to solidify an idea that had been floating around in my head for the past couple of days.

In my mind and my heart, I was done with the Webster family and all they stood for. I was done with their desire for power, money and prestige. I was done with their cold-hearted manipulations. They have shown me time after time that I don't matter to them unless they can use me as a pawn.
