         “That’s my sister,” Griffin’s friend Lacey just told us. She was looking at the picture of the young woman found dead on our border.

           “Are you sure?” Griffin asked her.

           Lacey nods her head and points to the picture. “I would recognize that birthmark anywhere.”

           There is a large birthmark on the deceased woman’s cheek. “What pack was she living in?” I ask Lacey.

           “Harvest Moon,” She replies.

           “I just called Alpha Garfield, and he said she wasn’t his,” I say to Lacey.

           “She is a fairly new member there. She had moved a few months ago from our home pack to be with her mate. He is a low-level warrior. The Alpha probably just didn’t recognize her,” Lacey explains.
