“Yeah. Do you have a problem with that?” Kenzie sneered at him. Even though Jeffrey would have ignored her provocation anyway, he couldn’t answer as the inside of his brain had just imploded. After failing miserably before, he was hoping to come here tonight to break things off with Sadie once and for all so he could salvage his marriage with Annika before it was too late. He went to great lengths to find some kind of evidence of her affairs with Leon Von Doren, but it would be his words against hers. Jeffrey had even tried to obtain the surveillance footage from outside Hunter’s office building to use against her, but as luck would have it, the cameras were down that night. But after boiling the ocean, he returned empty-handed and walked away without the proof needed to get back at Annika
