Marcus had listened to Luca's pleas and screams, feeling tears form in the corner of his eyes as he blinked them back. He hated doing this, hated hurting another human being simply to keep himself from being punished by his parents. His back was full of scars from being whipped with silver tinged floggers and he knew the terror of being locked in a small area for hours at a time alone, with no one to hear you scream and yell for help. If only Luca knew that Marcus had gone through the same amount of horror, the same frightening punishments that had only stopped once he'd become of age and even then it didn't stop them from making his life miserable or worse than it already was.
