“Sorry, son. But I need you to come with me. Alpha Dean is at the border with Felix and a bunch of warriors. They are demanding Darcy, or they will attack,” Dad just told us after barging into our room.

“What?” Nathaniel exclaims and sits up. I hide just behind him.

“Let’s go,” Dad orders.

Nathaniel turns to me. “I’ll be back,” He slips off the bed and starts to follow his father out of the room.

I reach for my shirt and throw it back on. “Wait, I’m coming with you.”

They both stop. “No, Darcy, stay here,” Nathaniel barks at me.

I slide off the bed and step towards him. “No,” I nearly yell at him. “I’m tired of being on the sidelines.”

“Put your shoes on and let’s go,” Dad says to me.
