Elyssa’s body was limp and her eyes rolled back as she fainted in Barristan’s arms. Barristan held her close, his face etched with confusion and concern. What could a human be doing so deep in the forest? Why was she running? Who was after her? The next thing he heard was a series of sickening howls, and pounding footsteps coming from the same path she had come. His brow furrowed deeply, wondering who was after her.
