A roll of bandage was wrapped around Barristan’s stomach. He was still lying on the hospital bed, humming slightly with his eyes closed.

On hearing footsteps, he opened his eyes and looked up in surprise to Elyssa approaching him.

“Lovely morning, miss,” a smile as warm as the morning sun lighted up his face as he sat up to recline against the headboard of the bed. “Hope you had you slept well? And I never got to know your name.”
