She wore a mask whenever she went to work at the hospital, hoping to hide her face from any stranger who might be looking for her. She avoided going out at night and stayed in her apartment as much as possible. She felt like a prisoner in her own life.
She was working on a night shift when her colleague came to her with a message.
“Elyssa, you have a visitor.”
Elyssa felt a surge of panic. A visitor? Who could it be? The one tried to murder her?
She tried to calm herself and asked, “Who is it?”
Her colleague just shrugged. “I don’t know. He didn’t give his name. He just said he wanted to see you.”
Elyssa felt more nervous. “What does he look like?”
Thankfully, Elyssa soon recognized him after her colleague’s description. It was Edric. He had come to see her.
