Emma jerked awake and was momentarily confused.  Until it hit her-they'd started the road trip part of their travels.  First to say goodbye to her  relatives before heading overseas to explore.  They were headed towards her closest relatives, about two hours away now.  Bel and Lucian had left the car, which was now parked in a small lot along the side of an almost dead two lane highway.  Stretching with a yawn, she thought they must have decided to let her sleep while they had gone for a supply run.
