38: Can Gods Die?

Emma was hearing them again, the babble of voices all talking over one another.  They were trying to tell her something important.  If she could just understand what they were saying.

"Wait!  Slow down!  One at a time!"  Emma shouted at them, covering her ears as the noise grew louder.

"Emma.."  A cool voice spoke over all the others, a voice she recognized.  She looked up with a gasp.

"It's you!"  She whispered.

"I don't have much time.  Your Claimed is injured.  He battled with another of the old gods, they ended up here.  He needs you Emma, to heal, but you're not ready yet.  I can bring you here-but you will have to die, instead of letting the transition take place naturally as it has been.  It means you will lose your child.  Or you can guide me back to the other side.  I can brin
