Bethany has been my rock, the strong and stable one of the two of us during this stressful time in our lives. While I try not to fall to pieces, she asks the right questions, holds my hand, and guides me through all the medical jargon so I can understand what is going on—bless her cotton socks. She managed to explain it in ways I could understand. She is more like the mother, and I am the child in all of this; she is such a mature-minded woman and so in control; she had been so strong to watch her father being operated on.
