It was nearing ten in the morning by the time we finished eating. Fiona, Ian, Gavin, Joy and I offered to clear the table and clean up the kitchen. When everything was put away, Mom said she wanted to go to the office, so she could 'check me over' to make sure I really was okay. Dad offered to come with us while suggesting Ms. Rankin take the others to our home gym to practice some Tai Chi. Everyone agreed, as they were still too full to want to do strenuous exercise.

I followed mom and dad into the office, where he locked the door and engaged the security device. I would be so glad when we could actually talk about what we wanted to without worrying about the Alpha's planted listening devices.
