Lila

A few times today, I wanted to run into the bathroom and change my shirt. I know I like to be noticed, but the looks I was getting from the other students were making me uncomfortable.

A few people actually did stop me and say they liked my shirt. That was different. Normally I don’t get compliments on my clothes.

Finally it was lunch time, and after I sat down at my table with Nina, my phone had a pop up message.

“Ding dong texting you?” Nina asked me.

I nodded my head as I picked my phone up from the table. “Yeah.” I mumbled as I opened up the text.

It was a photo of me, by my locker. Under it the text said:

“What’s wrong?” Nina asked me.

I just kept looking at the photo. Do I really look like that?
