The next day at school, I was at my locker, as I usually am. Only this time as I was putting my books in my locker, I heard David come up to me and say, “I’m sorry I didn’t call you the right name yesterday Lilac.”

I turned to David and said, “Close, it’s Lila. It’s ok. It’s not like we are in the same circle.”
