After an hour, I got out of the bathtub. I followed Clover’s instructions. I thought of Derrick while I soaked. I made sure to get the water on every inch of my body. I didn’t want him seeing even a hint of me.

The sooner I did my soulmate search, the better. I dried off and wrapped my towel around me before heading to my room. I changed into my pajamas and went to my closet. Toward the back and under a few things was where I hid the crystals Derrick sent me.

I pulled the box out and looked at my favorite crystal. It was a beautiful stone, but more than that, was what happened when I touched it. I hesitated for a few moments before I reached out and caressed the stone.
