The word ‘pregnant’ struck Blaze like thunder. He had the sensation that his brain had exploded. All he could feel was chills on his back. But his shocked look transformed into a rage in seconds.

"What nonsense are you talking about?" He fumed. "Do you think I'll fall for your lies?"

"No, Blaze… I’m not lying," Alma desperately tried to convince him. She approached him and grabbed his hand, her gaze pleading. "I’m expecting your child. It’s your baby. Please believe me." She hugged him and leaned against his chest all of a sudden.

Blaze grabbed her shoulders and pushed her away.

"Ah…" Alma swayed but managed to keep her balance. She protectively clutched her stomach. Tears began to accumulate in her eyes immediately.
