Seeing Reed seemed to trigger something from me.

    My hand carefully cuffed my neck, and her eyes seemed to follow it. I could see some sense of restraint from her and my heart hammered knowing that she was here to get angry at me because I now bear a mark that could never be corrected or vanished into thin air.
