It was the night of the ball and Serena felt like a princess out of a fairy tale. Xavier was dressing in another room as she was primped and pampered by several pack members who had been instructed by King Julian to make Serena feel like the King's daughter that he had claimed would now be his heir. He wanted no one to question his decision, prepared to defend her against some of the more narrow minded Alpha's who were old school and believed that only men could take over the royal position.
