Alpha Stavros’s POV

I have a meeting in fifteen minutes.  Normally Colin would already be sitting across from me, with his coffee and a tray of sandwiches on the table. I’m sure he’ll be here, but now he’ll slide through the door with less than a minute to go.  Fucker won’t even bring me a sandwich.

I have to keep reminding myself that he’s still reliable.  He shows up for training.  Every night there’s a stack of paperwork on my desk waiting for my approval.  He emails me as frequently as ever.  It’s not just his physical presence missing from the main office that bothers me.
