I tense up when my grandmother hugs me. A hand landed on my shoulder, and Austen was just behind us with a soft smile on his beautiful face.

My grandmother backs away and grabs my shoulders. She has eyes like mine. “You are definitely Flora’s baby,” she says as tears well up.

“I killed her,” I mutter.

Grandma growls lowly, “You did not kill her.” She hugs me again. “We tried everything to get you away from that slimeball father of yours.” She sighs and gently turns me around, keeping an arm around me. “This is Flora’s brother, your uncle, Julian,” She indicates the only one I recognized.

“Hello, Kinsley. It’s so good to see you again,” my uncle said, grinning.

I smile back as Grandma indicates a man who resembles Julian, only older, “This is your grandfather, Iver.”
