SYDNEY'S POV

I helped Grace to her car. I went back inside and snatched her phone from amongst the spilled content of her bag. I didn't even need to search far, right on her lock screen was a picture of her and a man that looked familiar.

“Joel,” I muttered under my breath, my wolf, Aria, growling in my mind. “That bastard. He’s going to pay for what he did to Grace.”

I tucked her phone into my back pocket, found a pair of flip-flops, and went back to meet her in the car. As I drove to the pack doctor’s hospital, she didn’t say anything, her head lopsided on her neck as she looked out the window, a haunted and sad expression swirling in her eyes.
