I didn’t know what I could possibly have to say to Julian, here, in Thorn Pack Hospital. I pretended I didn't hear him call my name.

I’d changed a lot since Julian last saw me. My wolf, Eve, had awakened, and as a result both my scent and hair color had changed. It was now pure gold, a steep contrast to the dark brown strands I’d had before Eve arrived.
