Hyakuhei turned to Kyoko who was looking in the direction he’d thrown Kamui. She couldn’t see her friends any longer and it suddenly occurred to her that she was totally alone with the enemy. If they made it through this, she would apologize to Toya tenfold for sending him away. “Now, where were we?” Hyakuhei asked as he brought her attention back where it should be. Kyoko gazed up at him and saw the same soft expression on his face. She blinked in confusion and took a step back. The dark guardian seemed to surround her in warmth and it terrified her.
