Terri leads me upstairs, I see Caly hunched over a laptop typing furiously. I watch her work, I miss seeing her doing this very thing at the tiny writing desk across from mine, wondering if I will ever have this simple pleasure again. I hear a tiny sniffle come from her nose as she registers my scent and then her small soft body launches at me, throwing her arms around my neck. Terri motions for the other ladies to go with her, so it’s just Caly and I. She pulls me over to the chair beside hers.
