I was really confused after that kiss. To top it off, Max disappeared on me again, further sinking my spirits. Why was Derek messing with my head so much? What did he have to gain from it all and why was I so intent on letting him destroy me like this? Why couldn't I muster up the damn courage to push the bastard away or slap him? Why did I feel tingles all over when we touched and why did I feel shivers down my spine when we kissed? What had he meant by being fed up with fighting it? Who was it?
