“My mom’s going to the market.” Christopher replied with a lie, glancing at the person he’s talking to before focusing on his phone once again. “I thought she just told me she bought food yesterday.”

Currently at Lucas’ house due to their reasoning that his house is nearer in the restaurant they’re about to visit, the boys were in the living room, all minding their own business.

Johann is busy watching basketball on television, Lucas is in the other sofa laying down while scrolling at his phone, Lewis is also on the carpet, seated beside Johann while playing at his tablet, and Denver just took an iced tea from the refrigerator.

Why did I even message her in the first place? Christopher thought as his brain recalled everything. Ah right, I wanted to contact her but I don’t know how.
